Castle Ravenloft

Castle Ravenloft is a cooperative board game where you and your comrades must complete a mission against the forces of evil.  It is based off the popular RPG franchise, Dungeons and Dragons.

Before you play the game you must select 1 out of 13 adventures.  Then you must know your mission's goal and select a hero (fighter, mage, cleric, ranger, or rogue) to play as. After everybody has chosen their hero, you set each hero miniature on the starting tile.  Then you must explore the uncharted dungeon.  Each time you reach the edge of an unexplored zone you draw and place a dungeon tile on the board.  As you enter a new tile there will be obstacles to face.  This can be determined by the Monster card you drew or from an Encounter card.  Once you reach your mission's goal you win.  But if a party member dies then all players lose the game.

The gameplay is like Dungeons and Dragons except at a smaller scale.  You will only use the 20-sided die for rolling actions.  And your hero's abilities is determined by the cards you chose for each power.

We really liked Castle Ravenloft and thought the price ($65.00) was worth it.  The miniatures, cards, tiles and other accessories are of high quality and you will get your time well spent from all the different adventures it has to offer.
