From what we know, Wrath of Ashardalon is much like its predeccesor. There will be more dungeon tiles, miniatures, cards, and tokens to expand with Castle Ravenloft. But the miniatures and dungeon tiles will all be different. The game rules will be the same except there will be changes in the Encounter Cards, Monster Cards, and Treasure Cards. This will make gameplay flow easier and become more unpredictable, which was opposite of Castle Ravenloft.
I personally can't wait to get my hands on this. I enjoyed Castle Ravenloft but was also bored by it. This time WOTC will fix most of the problems and hopefully make a better game! The new material will complement with what I got already, plus a big dragon and beholder miniature is something I can't pass!
Now don't get all cranked up just yet. Castle Ravenloft was a good game, but not perfect. If WOTC does a good job and listens to their feedback then Wrath of Ashardalon will be epic! But lets not get our hopes up. WOTC is known for tweaking games but also downsizing the quality of content while upsizing their profits. This will be a 50/50 shot and that is why you will need to see a review of it first. So expect to see a video and article (with pictures) no later than a couple of weeks after its release!
